This process is either broken or incomplete. After following those directions, adding the steam launch pretty l prefix prevents the game from launching.

Leaving it out does bring up a “connecting to origin…” prompt when launching, but it doesn’t progress beyond that.

I tried under the 2 most recent versions of Proton, 2 most recent GE releases, Hotfix, and Experimental. None of them launch at all with and without that prefix.

None of them launch at all with the prefix, and none get past the Origin connection without it.

I’ve only tried 2 so far, it was kind of a last minute thing last night. Tried the default first, kinda by accident, and I don’t think the game would even launch. Experimental at least gets me to the menu.

I don’t know much about wine itself, didn’t have a ton of luck with it on desktop.

That would be a switch to a different app on like the 2nd offense to me.

Or buy a new computer offense. You got something going on there, and it’s not the site itself.
